Privacy Policy

FAQ's

  • What kind of data does City Tech collect?

City Tech collects information from partners and residents for projects, programs, and general engagement purposes. For instance, we gather email addresses for mailing lists, collect RSVPs for City Tech events, and invite feedback from residents on technology tools and projects. City Tech also runs a program called CUTgroup, which provides opportunities Cook County residents to co-create new technologies with developers and project planners. To do this, we save the email addresses of active CUTgroup participants so we can remain in communication with them. We also collect and save opinions they share with us regarding the technology that CUTgroup tests.

  • I provided information to City Tech and previously agreed to the privacy policy (ex: through an event RSVP or through participation in the CUTgroup), but I’d like to opt out. What can I do?

You can opt out of the privacy policy at any time and ask that all saved information be deleted. Please email Collaborate@CityTech.org and City Tech will remove your information, including your email address, from our records.

  • Where else will I see City Tech's privacy policy?

Any online form created by City Tech will include a link to our privacy policy. Each time you provide information to City Tech, you will also be asked to agree to this privacy policy.

  • I have more questions about the privacy policy. Where can I go for more information?

Please email Collaborate@CityTech.org with questions or to learn more about our privacy policy.
