City Tech Summer 2020 Update

When City Tech’s Spring Update dropped in April, the U.S. had just reached 500,000 COVID-19 cases, the Class of 2020 still clung to hopes of walking across the graduation stage, and George Floyd was alive and breathing. Three months later, many U.S. states are facing increasing COVID-19 cases while trying to restart their economies, colleges and universities are struggling to define what education will look like this Fall, and George Floyd’s murder has sparked near-daily protests across the globe crying out for justice and racial equity. Our world continues to shift under our feet.

In this time of uncertainty and unrest, City Tech continues to tackle problems too big for any single sector or organization to solve alone. We are not seeking ways to go back to normal  – we are persevering through compounded crises, charting new innovation opportunities, and helping cities and their residents get to better-than-before.

Please read on to learn how City Tech and our partners are responding to these unprecedented times:

Together, we are reimagining cities as places where technology fuels innovation, inclusion, and engagement for all. None of us can thrive while racial, social, and economic injustice prevent everyone from contributing to and benefiting from a city’s success.

Warmly,

- Brenna Berman, CEO | City Tech Collaborative
